The 23-year-old music star, who was set to appear as the musical guest on Saturday’s episode (January 15), is no longer performing, via Deadline.

Roddy was forced to drop out due to COVID exposure, according to the report.

As a result, Bleachers – fronted by Jack Antonoff – will be replacing him for a SNL debut.

The show is being hosted by Ariana DeBose.

“Due to recent Covid exposure on my team and to keep everyone safe I won’t be able to perform on SNL this weekend. I’m working with the SNL team to lock in a new date though,” he wrote on Instagram.

The January 15 show was expected to feature a full cast, crew and studio audience, but final decisions are still up in the air amid the rise of the Omicron variant.
