There seems to be tension brewing between reality star Kristin Cavallari, her estranged husband Jay Cutler and his rumoured fling Madison LeCroy.
Over the weekend, Cavallari, 34, and Culter, 37, reunited for a sweet snap almost one year on from ending their 10-year relationship, seven of which they were married.
In the photo, the exes stood by side-by-side with the caption, “The world is full of users. 10 years. Can’t break that.”
Fans speculated online that the message was directed at LeCroy, who stars in the reality TV series Southern Charm. Apparently, Cutler was not happy with LeCroy for discussing him in a recent interview on Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live in early January.
Although she told Cohen in the episode that she would not “kiss and tell”, dating rumours intensified which seemingly upset the former Chicago Bears quarterback.
The cosy photograph quickly caught LeCroy’s attention after her friend commented on the pic, “I’m confused”, to which the reality star replied, “Call me sis and I’ll tell you. Can’t wait to clear this up.”
And clear it up she did. To prove she wasn’t using Culter to elevate her profile, LeCroy shared some screenshots of their text messages to each other, which appeared to show Cutler was the one who pursued her months after his split from Cavallari — the mother of his three children: Camden, eight, Jaxon, six, and Saylor, five.
“Morning. Yes, so, it looks to me like I’m going to have to drop some receipts. Hate to do that,” LeCroy said on Instagram Stories before sharing the screenshots.
In the first message, LeCroy asked Cutler why he was willing to fly from Nashville, Tennessee, to visit her at her home in Charleston, South Carolina.
“What are you coming here for? Cause you didn’t tell me anything,” she asked.
When he replied, “To hang out with you,” LeCroy said, “Well, you’ve got to ask me.”
In a second screenshot, the single mum shared an exchange with Cutler which appeared to be about her WWHL interview.
“It was insinuated and my name was also brought into it which I don’t appreciate,” he said, seemingly referring to the dating rumours.
LeCroy hit back with, “I am disgusted by this whole situation. You reached out to me… Your intentions may have not been pure but that may be you projecting. I’ve never said anything about Kristin nor would I. I came into this honestly with good intentions.
“I want no part of being involved in a payback or drama. But you initiated and pursued. If you weren’t interested in something real you shouldn’t have … with me.”
The star strategically covered a word with a caption box, which read, “Kept my mouth shut until I got called a liar…” She then shared a photo of them together with the caption, “Too bad it didn’t work out.”
In an interesting twist, around the same time they were rumoured to be dating, Cavallari was linked to LeCroy’s Southern Charm co-star and ex-boyfriend Austen Kroll.
