Kim Kardashian opens up about ‘lonely’ marriage to Kanye West on last ever episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians

This article contains spoilers on the series finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Kim Kardashian pretty much kept her marriage to Kanye West out of the plotlines of her family’s reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

But now that the series has ended after 20 seasons and 14 years on the air — and the couple are divorcing — the reality star has let down her guard.

In the series finale that aired today, Kardashian had a heartbreaking conversation with her mother, Kris Jenner, in which the 40-year-old admitted to feeling lonely before announcing the end of her six-year marriage to the rapper.

“I just feel like I’ve worked so hard in life to achieve everything that I’ve wanted to and I’ve lived up to my expectations and achieved 10 times more than what I thought was humanly possible, but I don’t have a life to share that with,” Kardashian said on camera.

“Am I just going to sit here and think, ‘OK, my kids fulfil me and I’m good?’ I never thought I was lonely. I just thought that was totally fine, I can just have my kids.”

The reality star shares four children with West: North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two. And it all became too overwhelming when she found herself raising the children alone in L.A. when West decided to move to Wyoming.

“My husband moves from state to state. I’m just on this ride with him and I was OK with that. And then after turning 40 this year, I realised like no, I don’t want a husband that lives in a completely different state,” she said.

“I want someone that we have the same shows in common. I want someone that wants to work out with me. It’s the little things is what I don’t have. I have all the big things. I have the extravagant everything you could possibly imagine and no one will ever do it like that. I’m grateful for those experiences but I think I’m ready for the small experiences that will mean a lot.”

Before Kardashian filed for divorce in February, the couple navigated a challenging period. In his quest for the US presidency last year, West — who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder — revealed some private conversations he had with his wife in a bizarre Twitter rant, while also going after his mother-in-law Jenner.

“I’m numb. I’m tired of that. But I do know that I will be happy,” Kim said about feeling alone in the marriage. “I didn’t come this far just to come this far and not be happy.”
