Earlier this week, a photo posted by Kendall Jenner got a lot of attention.
It was a selfie from the set of a shoot for her sister Kim Kardashian‘s SKIMS underwear line. While she shared a bunch of photos from the day, there was one in particular that drew a lot of commentary from her followers.
It caused a lot of people to tweet about their own body insecurities after seeing the photo. Some claimed that the photo was edited or Photoshopped, comparing videos of her in the same outfit where her body looks different.
While many young women were tweeting about their own negative body image, others took this as a moment to remember that Jenner (and the rest of the Kardashians) have millions of dollars, personal trainers, surgery, flattering lighting, and fancy cameras.
“She looks unreal, but that’s her job,” one person wrote.
“Not everything you see on social media is real… she definitely is beautiful but so are you,” wrote another.
After the tweets came flooding in, Jenner actually responded to one. A fan wrote “I got 99 problems and looking like Kendall Jenner would solve all of them”, which Jenner quote tweeted.
“I want you to know I have bad days too and that I hear you!” she wrote. “You are beautiful just the way you are!!! It’s not always as perfect as it may seem.”
She also replied to a selfie posted by a fan, who claimed that Jenner’s photo led her to having more confidence.
