Prior to Growing Pains, Leonardo DiCaprio had only had a few acting credits to his name, such as The New Lassie, Roseanne and Parenthood.
But his star soared after Growing Pains, the actor landing roles in the critically acclaimed drama This Boy’s Life and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, which earned him his first Oscar nomination.
A slew of hits followed, including The Basketball Diaries, Romeo + Juliet and Marvin’s Room, before Titanic turned him into a household name.
After a total of six nominations, DiCaprio would go on to win an Oscar in 2016 for The Revenant.
More recently, DiCaprio, now 46, starred in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood opposite Brad Pitt, racking up yet another Oscar nomination.
The actor has never married and is considered one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, having dated the likes of models Gisele Bündchen and Bar Refaeli. He has been dating actress Camila Morrone since 2017.
