Former UNLV basketball player and social media personality Dylan Gonzalez appears to be using her platform to encourage other women to speak out against sexual assault. The baller made a startling allegation on New Year’s Eve against Trey Songz in a tweet that went viral. In the tweet, Dylan wrote, “Trey Songz is a rapist. Lord forgive me. I couldn’t hold that in another year. See you in 2022.”
Today, Dylan shared a statement uncovering more of what she has been dealing with since she shared the allegations with the public. On Instagram, she wrote, “With what seems like endlessly recurring news of the alleged sexual assault committed by Trey Songz. I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind and suffer anew the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well-known Las Vegas Hotel.”
The statement continued, “At this time, I humbly request my privacy, consideration, and compassion while I fully commit to [pursuing] the best course of action and all of my legal options. Gracias Mi Gente, Dyl.” In addition, she urged individuals with any questions and inquires to direct them to her attorney George Vrabeck through Instagram or Twitter.
With Dylan revealing the incident in Las Vegas, it’s unclear if this is connected to TMZ’s November report that Trey was being investigated for sexual assault. At the time, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was looking into the incident which occurred at The Cosmopolitan hotel. Trey has yet to address any of the allegations, but we will keep you posted if he does.
