Bethenny Frankel is sending aid to those in Texas who are in desperate need of help following a rare, brutal ice storm.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum is no stranger to charity work as her B Strong Foundation has previously provided aid after Hurricane Maria, Hurricane Irma, and people affected by COVID, just to name a few.
The Skinnygirl mogul took to Instagram on February 18 to announce her charity’s efforts and to request donations for the cause.
“It’s a tragedy, it’s a disaster, it’s a catastrophe,” she declared on Instagram. “People are freezing, people have nothing, people are hungry and cold.”
She added, “Our warehouse is loaded with aid to help those who so desperately need us. YOU have literally been the heroes in all of these disaster relief efforts, digging deep when it’s hardest to do so.”
Bethenny revealed that B Strong is currently loading trucks with relief kits that will be given to 1,400 families to start. The kits support a family of five and include personal protective gear, hygiene products, and enough non-perishable food items to last a month.
This all comes after the state’s senator, Ted Cruz, decided to escape the cold weather, and power outages, by jetting off with his family to vacation in Cancun, Mexico. Senator Cruz has since returned to Texas and admits the decision was “obviously a mistake.”
Senator Ted Cruz is apologizing for leaving frozen Texas behind with his family to visit a luxury resort in sunny, warm Mexico. What was nearly obvious to everyone is now obvious to him. https://t.co/9FM3R0yhKo

Nevertheless, it appears that people can depend on Bethenny’s organization and many are praising the star’s efforts, especially those in Texas.
“It’s a mess here, but we are survivors… it’s what we do, it’s in our blood,” one person from the Lone Star state commented. “On behalf of all Texans, THANK YOU!!!”
“Thank you! We need all the help we can get,” another Texan wrote.
A third person donated money and wrote, “Donated. Wish [I] could have done more but I’m still recovering from COVID. God Bless Texas!!!”
Another grateful person, who is still without water, commented, “Thank you sooo much for what you’re doing! It’s truly amazing! Fortunately, we have power but still without water; but your kits are going to save families going hungry in these freezing temps. Thank you so so much!”
