Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers are pricing the home they once shared together to sell, slashing the cost by over $800,000 just three months after they first listed it.
The estranged couple initially put their Hancock Park mansion up for sale in September following the announcement of their separation, listing the property for $5.8 million. Three months later, on December 7, they lowered that price to just $4.99 million, according records obtained by Page Six. The 6,275-square-foot English Tudor home located in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms spread across three stories, featuring a wood-paneled library with a fireplace, a double-height living room with an exposed beam ceiling, and a master bedroom with an attached sauna and spa. The spacious backyard also boasts a pool, a waterfall, and a second spa. Hammer and Chambers had only been living in the home since January 2019, but despite the huge recent price cut, have yet to receive any offers on the property.
Surely, it doesn’t help that the exes are trying to sell this piece of real estate at the same time Hammer faces a string of social media scandals. The actor also announced this week that he would be stepping away from his role opposite Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming action-comedy Shotgun Wedding. In a statement obtained by People, the actor wrote, “I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.”
This announcement comes after numerous messages were posted on the anonymous social media account House of Effie purporting to be screenshots of correspondence between Hammer and various women outlining some pretty extreme BDSM fantasies. None of these messages have been verified.
