In a strange and surprising turn of events, we’re just three weeks away from it being Easter. Again. Nope, we’re not sure where the last year went, either. It has passed by in a flash, and we’ve got little to show for our most recent trip around the sun than five new matching tracksuits and a perfected at-home gel mani technique. Sure – we could feel sad and disheartened at the speedy passing of time/the lack of FUN we’ve had since last April… or, we could grin from ear-to-ear ‘cos the return of Easter means TWO bank holidays, tonnes of chocolate and an imminent return of sunny weather. Yasss.
Enter: our pick of the best luxury Easter eggs of 2021 – released by the likes of Hotel Chocolat, Fortnum & Mason and Butlers. Since we’re still going to be in some form of lockdown when Sunday 4 April rolls around, we may as well make the day a little special. And there’s no better way to do that than with a premium, luxury Easter egg.
Alongside a hot chocolate maker, Fortnum & Mason’s iconic Easter Hamper and a beauty Easter egg (obvs), a luxury Easter egg will make a gorgeous gift for her / gift for him / gift-to-self this Spring holiday. Luckily, some of the country’s leading chocolatiers have been busy crafting extravagant offerings to tickle the tastebuds of every chocolate lover in town – from hand-decorated Easter eggs to white, milk and dark varieties.
Yep, this year sees more variety of Fortnum & Mason Easter eggs than ever before (they’ve got everything from a handmade dark & milk Easter egg encased in their signature turquoise packaging to a hand-decorated Easter egg adorned in sugar flowers and a pack of six Eau de Nil Dark Chocolate Praline Eggs) as well as an amped-up Selfridges Easter egg offering (may we draw your attention to this Butler Easter egg that has been wrapped in pink paper and tied with a green bow) and plenty of M&S Easter eggs just screaming to be devoured. Their fruit and nut chocolate lattice gets top marks from us.
But don’t sleep on it – these Easter eggs are *so damn good* that they’re expected to sell out pronto. And we’d hate for you to be left with no choice but to trek to the local petrol station for a sub-£5 number.
