TikTok has once again emerged and taken over our lives, and we’re not even sorry about it. From challenges, pranks and parodies to make up tips, fashion hauls and experimental recipes, the app is a goldmine. It’s no wonder so many of us get stuck in a scrolling frenzy – there’s just so much good content.
We’ve compiled a list of the TikTok stars that we find ourselves going back to time and time again, the ones that make us laugh out loud, the ones that inspire us and generally just feel like friends…
24-year-old Keilidh Cashell is an Irish make-up artist turned TikTok beauty influencer, with her make up tutorials, product reviews and brand collabs earning her a huge fanbase of 2.8 million followers. In September 2020, Keilidh launched her own cruelty free and vegan friendly beauty brand ‘KASH Beauty’ and the brands first collection, ‘Secret Treasure,’ reflects Keilidh’s signature dark smoky grunge looks.
Known for his comedy sketches and ‘erotic eyebrows’ Munya has become a TikTok sensation. He is one of the most promising young comedians to come from the social space, with his funny skits and puns earning him a following of over 390K. His videos often feature a number of his comedic alter egos including posh drill rapper, Unknown P.
TikTok comedy star, Abi, sure knows how to make us giggle, with her ‘original sketches and general silliness’ as she puts in her bio. Her 707.7K followers can’t get enough of her all-too-relatable workplace satire featuring characters Jill and Tracey (and neither can we).
In just three months, TikTok creator Sarel has jumped from 30K followers to over 230K. Her videos vary from quite literally anything and everything, which she sums up in her bio, ‘80% rants 20% vibes…CEO of cry laughing.’ From her comedy bits to story time videos and clothing hauls, her positive vibes and refreshingly honest and downright hilarious commentary make her stand out.
Flo Simpson’s inspiring self-love and body positivity videos are the perfect lockdown remedy, so it’s no surprise the 21-year-old became a TikTok star pretty much overnight. She spent 2020 documenting her healthy weight loss journey and now boasts an impressive 629.6K followers. Flo uses her platform to encourage her followers to love the skin they’re in, with her content mainly focusing on food and fashion. Her ‘What I eat in a day’ and ‘What I wore today’ videos often reach over 400K views.
Jeremy is a very popular digital creator with a huge TikTok platform and a whopping 6M followers. He has taken part in all of the biggest TikTok challenges, dances and transition trends, including the infamous silhouette challenge and legwork dance. His videos have gone viral on more than one occasion, with a comedy skit he posted about the government’s ‘Happy Birthday’ hand washing advice in March 2020, reaching a huge 22 million views.
@rosiestacy15 blew up on TikTok with her series titled ‘scrolling to the bottom of celebs Instagram’s so you don’t have to’ and her video featuring Kylie Jenner’s old Instagram posts was the first of her videos to go viral with 5.4 million views. She now posts daily vlogs and DIY crafts which are very popular among her 118.4K followers.
Anna O’Brien, TikTok’s self-proclaimed confidence Queen, is an all-round body positivity and lifestyle influencer, posting daily recipes and crafts as well as fashion, beauty and fitness content. Anna has a partnership with Rihanna’s lingerie line SAVAGE X FENTY and boasts 7.5M TikTok followers. What an icon!
Okay, not exactly a person, but Jiff pom is by far the trendiest little Pomeranian pupster we’ve ever seen. With 21M TikTok followers, he is the most followed animal on social and was even nominated for a People’s Choice Award for Favourite Animal Star. His TikTok’s feature his tricks and dance moves, his awe-inspiring wardrobe and just total cuteness.
29-year-old vlogger Nabela’s TikTok is a place of complete sanctuary. She uses her platform to promote self-love through self-care and she is on a mission to redefine beauty. Her impressive 5.1M followers love Her ‘Pockets of Peace’ series, which features a 60 second snapshot of her day. They are effortlessly cosy to watch and often reach over 1M views each.
@yazdemand uses her TikTok platform to raise awareness about the difficulties she faces as a Black trans woman, and how she rises above this to empower herself and the women in her community. Her fanbase is made up of over 290K followers and in total her videos have reached 11.6M likes.
TikTok sensations Conor and his granny Joanie have helped keep their 53.3K followers sane during lockdown, with their pranks, challenges and wholesome content. The West Belfast comedy duo have recently put their platform to good use, by showing their support for the Translink campaign ‘Let’s go safely together’ which asks young people to social distance and wear face coverings on public transport.
Brittany is a fashion, lifestyle and travel blogger and social media star with an impressive 3.4M TikTok followers. Her content is primarily style, beauty and family orientated vids with a few comedy sketches and challenges thrown in for good measure. Her most popular TikToks (and the ones that have gone viral) all involve her pranking her husband.
Let’s face it, the food side of TikTok is where we all want to be. @Foodies, who have over 18M followers, use their platform to post the most mouth-watering recipes, viral food trends and hacks. Seriously, they’ve got us drooling.
